Clydesdale Jones has a long and established history in the design, engineering and manufacturing of hand and foot controls for off road vehicles, cars, specialist service vehicles, and even electric vehicles. The company's brief timeline is below:

  • 1949 – First established as A & H Jones
  • 1969 - Incorporated as a limited company as A & H Company Ltd.
  • 1974 – Became part of LK Industrial Investments Ltd
  • 1980 – Acquired by the Caparo Group
  • 1984 – Purchased Tyseley Handbrakes and Pressings Ltd (Handbrake Division)
  • 1989 – Company name changed to Clydesdale Jones
  • 1991 – Focused on the design & manufacture of hand brake levers
  • 2006 – Company relocated to Neachells Lane, Willenhall
  • 2015 - Business acquired by the Liberty House Group
